We are very much looking forward to hosting couples and seniors because they will feel wonderfully comfortable and at ease on our farm. And children are welcome, too: Our cows, calves, chickens, cats, and rabbits are already waiting to be petted, and there is plenty of space to romp and play around at the farm Formsunhof. Plus: Of course, your temporary home also includes wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi), a safe parking space in our underground car park as well as a charging station for e-cars, a BBQ area, and a bus stop with convenient connections. During your stay here with us, we provide you with the “Südtirol Alto Adige Guest Pass”, which entitles you to use public transport (local buses, regional trains, and regional cable cars) throughout South Tyrol free of charge.

Our lovingly maintained, new farm offers a fantastic view on the village of Siusi. We are located at the foot of a South Tyrolean landmark, the striking Mount Sciliar. Starting from the farm Formsunhof in 30 minutes you may walk to the nearby villages Siusi and Castelrotto (home of the popular local folk group “Kastelruther Spatzen”). And the largest alpine plateau in Europe, the Alpe di Siusi, is only a stone’s throw away: The shuttle bus to the valley station of the Alpe di Siusi cable car stops just 50 m from our house, and the cable car then takes you into the heart of the 56-square-kilometre.

Auf dem Formsunhof in Kastelruth / Südtirol ist jeder Tag für Ihre Kinder ein lehrreiches Abenteuer. Dabei spielt der Umgang, die Naturerlebnisse und natürlich auch das Zusammenleben mit den zahlreichen Hoftieren eine gewichtige Rolle. Alles Erlebte wird im Handumdrehen verarbeitet und gespeichert. Bei einem Familienurlaub auf dem Bauernhof gibt es Tag ein Tag aus haufenweise Sachen zu erfahren und Dinge zu erleben. Unserer Erfahrung nach ist es vor allem der tägliche Umgang mit den Hoftieren auf dem Fomsunhof, der pädagogisch besonders wertvoll ist.
Woher kommt die Milch, warum legen Hühner Eier und wieso ist die Kuh nicht violett? Dies sind nur drei von wahrscheinlich tausend Fragen, die auf dem Familienbauernhof in Kastelruth eine Antwort finden. Dabei bleibt es nicht nur bei der trockenen Theorie, sondern es kann hautnah erlebt und erlernt werden. Sehen, hören, riechen und fühlen – desto mehr Sinne beim Lernvorgang in Anspruch genommen werden, desto höher ist logischerweise auch der Lerneffekt. Auf dem Formsunhof sind die Kinder ganz nah dran und eignen sich ganz spielerisch viel neues Wissen an.
Die vielen Hoftiere auf unserem Kinderbauernhof in Südtirol wirken auf Kinder wie Anziehungsmagnete. Ob Hühner, Kälbchen, Kühe, Kaninchen oder Katzen – alle wollen von den leuchtenden Kinderaugen bestaunt werden. Max ,Manuel und Heidi – die Kinder Ihrer Gastfamilie – freuen sich schon darauf, Ihren Kids wirklich jedes Tier auf unserem Hof persönlich vorzustellen. Dabei lernen die Kinder unglaublich viel. Sie sehen, dass beispielsweise ein Kälbchen nicht nur süß ist, sondern auch reichlich Verantwortung mit sich bringt. Der Respekt vor Tieren wird gefestigt und die Kids eignen sich wichtiges Wissen bezüglich der Lebensmittelproduktion an. Ein Familienurlaub auf dem Formsunhof ist also nicht nur eine fantastische Freizeitgestaltung, es ist zudem noch eine sehr lehrreiche Erfahrung für Ihre Kinder.

…a real treasure trove of sights. Palaces, castles, and chapels are awaiting you. For example, Prösels Castle is a popular hiking destination. Nature itself has also provided splendid natural spectacles on the Alpe di Siusi. Famous and very mysterious are the witches’ benches, which, according to legend, were carved into the stone by the Sciliar Witches. It is said that many years ago the Sciliar Ridge was often visited by “witches” – however, whether the armchair-like formations may have a natural origin after all, you’ll have to judge for yourself.
